He is a self-standing artist of Pakistan Media Industry and before his career in media, he was mechanic of tire punctures in Islamabad. He was on-screen in several comedy stage dramas in Lahore and got fame from his fan due to his hard-working and entertaining skills. Iftikhar Thakur played on-screen in many Urdu, Punjabi, Pothwari, Mirpuri and many other languages stage shows. Iftikhar Thakur is a Pakistani actor with a full entertaining personality. One of the most famous telefilms was The Miki Kharo England Series which very super hit in the middle of the Pothwari & Kashmiri community.
