Armeena Khan EARLY LIFE

Armeena was born on the 30th of March in 1987 in Toronto, Ontario, to immigrant Pakistani parents. Her father was a businessman by profession, and her mother is a homemaker. She has two sisters, one elder and a younger. Khan is of Pashtun and Punjabi origins.

She did her early schooling from Toronto, but later moved to Manchester, where she attended the University of Manchester, achieving an Honors degree in Business Administration. Having passion for acting she later studied acting at the Ealing Studios and the Pinewood Studios.

Her first steps in the media world first leaded towards modeling in 2010 then later on progressed towards acting.

Khan announced her engagement to British Pakistani businessman Fesyl Khan on twitter in July 2017.That same year, Khan revealed that Fesyl had proposed her on the beach of Cuba.

Armeena Khan Career

Armeena has always been an ambitious and hard-working girl, she initiated her career in international short films, the first-ever role she played was for the British short film “Writhe”, in which Khan she professionally played the role of a serial killer. The film was selected for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Khan got a chance to be the first-ever Pakistani actress to walk at Cannes in 2013 which of course is a big achievement. Our star then appeared in another short film, titled Stranger Within Me which was also screened at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.

The year 2013, she finally got the chance to act in Pakistani national dramas, these were considered her first serious acting performances, the drama was titled Shab-e-Arzu ka Alam, in which she plays the lead role alongside Mohib Mirza. After polishing her skills she was seen in a television series Muhabbat Ab Nahi Hugi that proved to be a gateway to success for her,  she was also nominated for Hum Awards 2015 for its amazing performance.

Armeena did further drama series such as Ishq Parast and Karb playing the lead role alongside Adnan Siddiqui. Not just British or Pakistani but this versatile star was also seen in India, Khan made her Bollywood debut in 2013 with Huff! It’s Too Much with a lead role in the film.

Another reason behind her good name and recognition in the country was the romantic drama film in 2015 named Bin Roye as the lead cast along with Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed, produced by Momina Duraid, the film and the television version were based on the novel Bin Roye Aansu by Farhat Ishtiaq.

Armenia’s big break was being a part of epic-war drama Yalghaar, a film by Hassan Waqas Rana which was labeled as the most expensive movie in the history of Pakistani cinema.

Furthermore, she was a part of Janaan, a romantic comedy which is directed by Azfar Jafri and Co-produced by Hareem Farooq, Reham Khan, and Imran Raza Kazmi. In late 2016, she was signed for another serial called Rasm E Duniya, on ARY Digital. In 2019, Khan played the leading role in the patriotic war film Sherdil.
